In My Kitchen: Spring (plus the cat)

(Joining Heather for the kitchen blog hop again.)

My kitchen continues to be a place full of plant foods as I work my way through 30 Day Vegan (which I am loving even more than I expected).  This week: lots of big, varied salads. And I tried out quinoa pasta, which I liked more than I thought I would.  Then again, it's hard to dislike pasta with shiitake mushrooms, asparagus, and basil...!

I am loving my spring/summer view from the sink, now that the herbs are potted on the back deck.

And the cat, Toonces (no she does not drive) occasionally sits in the "junk pile" basket waiting for someone to pet her.  Usually this works.

How is spring in your kitchen these days?

  2. Seeing all that delicious food makes me wish I'd signed up for 30 Vegan again.

    1. I've not done it before, and am really enjoying it. It's turned out to be so much more, particularly more spiritual, than I expected. It came at a perfect time for me, too.

  3. Those vegan dishes look delicious. I am curious about the dressing on the second photo. While it was loading I thought "oh look, pudding" but then realized it was on a salad. ;-)

    1. The dressing is a home-made balsamic almond one that I got via Heather's 30-day vegan workshop that's going on. I suspect any thick and creamy balsamic would be good, though.
