A Lesson from Saturday

A cool, rainy Saturday filled with little bits of domestic bliss (okay, also cleaning and grocery shopping) reminded me that, along with the hectic pace of the academic year, fall will also bring lovely cool weather, my favorite foods, and good knitting time.  Maybe it's not all bad that summer is coming to a close.  Maybe (just maybe) it's even a good thing that my "down time" takes place in my least favorite weather, and that my return to busy-ness is in my very favorite season.

  2. Ah! How nice to think of those things! I always see pictures like this and think, "I should use more candles" but then I never do. I suppose it takes time to slow down and enjoy a meal!

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Amanda! Candles are great. I held off for a long time, too...but since we started last winter, it just feels *right*...we skipped it for a while when the days were so long, but now it's *just* far enough past bright at dinner time to light them again.
