In My Kitchen: Color, Aroma, Texture

(Joining Heather again for the kitchen blog hop)

Is there anything more divine than the smell of raspberries cooking for jam?  I stuck to two batches this year, and am looking forward to getting some wild blueberries soon to make jam--blueberry jam is my favorite.

Colorful, nutritious, delicious salads continue to be the theme of the summer.  Plus granola bars for my boy (and me) whenever I get around to it--and whenever he leaves enough almonds for me to make them.  The boy is an almond-eating fiend.  I guess that's what comes of growing 7 inches in 2 years.

Lately, though, I keep forgetting to take pictures in the kitchen.  I think I want to make sure that I do so in this next month, the last before the academic year starts up again.  Live fully and presently--in the kitchen, in my home, in my work.  Resist the lure to worry over how busy I will soon be.

What's late July looking like in your kitchen?

    1. I repeat my comment on your blog post: too many desserts is simply not possible. Trust me, I've made those too. But somehow a picture of chocolate-zucchini muffins isn't as visually appealing as a colorful salad, so I end up with healthy-looking pictures!

  6. mmm this all looks amazing. I love raspberries and can't believe they actually burn fat too...I think that blueberry is possibly my favourite too. I love the sweet/sour balance. The salads look so good and I'm always looking for good cereal bar recipes so will bookmark your one for once I move and sort the kitchen out.
Enjoy your summer kitchen, I can't wait to see next weeks peep.
    Have a cool weekend.

  7. Ah, yes Raspberries! We have been having them too. I have been hiding some in the freezer so no one eats them. I am trying to collect enough for a pie.
